Summary

TimeGrant is a parental-control utility that uses Apple’s Family Controls, Screen Time, and CloudKit services. The developer does not operate a separate account service and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.

Information stored on the device

  • The parent or child role selected for the device
  • The parent access code and pairing settings
  • The apps, categories, and websites selected through Apple Family Controls
  • Active grant status and local enforcement settings

Selections made through Apple Family Controls are represented by Apple-managed opaque tokens. TimeGrant uses them on the child’s device to apply the controls. The developer does not receive the names of the apps, categories, or websites selected by the family.

Information stored in Apple CloudKit

To connect a parent device with a child device and provide remote requests and approvals, TimeGrant stores limited coordination records in the app’s Apple CloudKit container. These records can include:

  • A randomly generated eight-character family pairing code
  • Pairing and request timestamps
  • The number of minutes requested or granted
  • Request, approval, denial, or revocation status
  • The scheduled end time of an active grant

These records do not include the parent’s or child’s name, email address, contacts, location, message contents, or the identity of protected apps and websites. Apple operates CloudKit and push-notification delivery under Apple’s privacy terms.

Advertising, analytics, and tracking

TimeGrant does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. The developer does not sell personal information.

Deleting information

You can reset the connection and remove TimeGrant from the devices to delete locally stored app data, subject to Apple’s normal device backup and restoration behavior. To request deletion of associated CloudKit pairing and grant records, email the developer and include the eight-character pairing code shown in TimeGrant.
